Packing up my kit after a shoot with @bodyfit.athletics last week! I had the best time working with everyone that day, I kept the sound in so you can hear everyone’s laughs and the satisfying clicks of me packing my stuff. If you ever wonder why MUA’s complain about their back, please see this video 😂 Whenever I go to any job there’s a lot of things that can factor into how make up will turn out. Lighting, temperature, space and time. All of these things I have to be prepared for because you sometimes never know what kind of space you’ll be working in, so I take lights, a high make up chair, folding table, hand held fans, long extension cords, I bring anything I could think of that I could possibly need.

2024 where do I begin? My first full year (trying) to run my own business, so here’s a little dump of things that didn’t make it to the gram earlier 1- my first wedding of the year, assisted by my best friend Charlotte, who would turn out to be my 3rd bride of the year! 2 - my set up for Charlotte’s wedding day, being MOH, make up artist, beautician, spray tanner and hair stylist was a tall order and probably the hardest I’ve worked all year for 4 consecutive days but incredibly worth it. 3 - I put myself on a course to learn Lash Lifting and Brow lamination, something that was on my 2024 goal list and I achieved it before the end of Feb! 4 - The set up before doing my Mum’s make up one Saturday night when I wasn’t busy. 5 - One of MANY brush cleanings I did this year. I moan about doing it, but I remind myself that I’m lucky that I had people wanting me to do their make up, and 3 years ago I’d have only dreamed about it. 6 - Editing one of my favourite reels this year. 7 - My favourite little assistant, my niece, also called Charlotte, helping me bring my kit in to do mini makeovers at her birthday party, which I LOVED doing. 8 - the party in action, I had a full audience of 12 year olds for 2 hours and was anointed the ‘cool auntie’. I’d like that tattooed on my forehead please. 9 - My best friend’s special day. The honour of doing mother of the bride, bridesmaid and the bride, a day I will not forget in a hurry. Multiple trials, lots of driving back and forth, tears, laughs, the full wedding experience. And finally 10 - the face behind the business 😂 she’s exhausted and drained but she also wants to say how grateful she is. From the bottom of my heart I want to thank every single person who has had a treatment with me this year, whether it was just the once or you’ve come back to me multiple times, thank you. For allowing me to do what I truly love and enjoy doing. I hope that I can spend 2025 making all of you and more feel beautiful and confident whilst building great relationships and memories. I’m hoping to offer this service very soon, but in the mean time, here’s a before and after on my mum’s first lash lift. We did also tint her brows, but mum was victim of the ‘over plucked 80’s/90’s’ trend. Take from that what you will.
